Every house token does the same basic job: it turns your play into something you hold. At Mega Dice that is 15% cashback on weekly net losses for play in $DICE, plus staking. What a house token is, and what it risks
A casino token is a coin the casino issues and controls. You earn it by playing, by staking or as cashback, and you can often play with it or trade it. It is also a concentrated bet on one company: if the casino loses players, changes its rules or closes, the token usually goes with it.
Three risks apply to all four tokens:
- Price. A reward paid in a token is only worth what the token is worth on the day you sell.
- Lock-ups. Staking usually ties the token up for a period, and none of these casinos showed a rate or a lock-up on the pages we read.
- Dependence. The issuer sets the rules. A cashback percentage can change overnight.
